This project reimagines the common areas at Bellevue Meadows Apartments, transforming an underutilized amenity building into a warm, functional extension of residents’ daily lives. The remodel focused on refreshing interior finishes, improving spatial organization, and creating inviting shared spaces that support both work and relaxation, while maintaining the existing leasing offices and enhancing them with a new glass storefront for added transparency and connection.

The updated layout prioritizes flexibility and everyday use, with reconfigured amenity spaces that include a larger fitness room, two updated bathrooms with an added shower, private workspaces, and a meeting room with kitchenette. A former spa that had become a storage area was repurposed into the new gym, allowing for improved functionality and better use of available space. Creating comfortable places for residents to work was a key driver of the design, reflected in a range of seating options and thoughtfully integrated work areas throughout.

Biophilic design principles guided the interior approach, with natural materials, organic forms, and botanical accents woven throughout the space. Floral inspired wallpaper, warm wood tones, soft textures, and new light fixtures help create a welcoming, residential feel. Atelier Drome provided architectural and interior design services, including finish selections, lighting design, and furniture and décor concepts, working closely with furniture partner Porter for procurement to ensure a cohesive and functional result. The completed common areas offer residents a refreshed environment that supports productivity, wellness, and community connection.
